What is New Dental Choice?
New Dental Choice is a dental savings plan designed for individuals, families, and employer groups of all sizes that do not have dental coverage or wish to supplement their current dental plan. Is New Dental Choice a licensed plan?
New Dental Choice is the first discount plan of any kind to meet the stringent licensing requirements recently established by the California Department of Managed Health Care.

Is my dentist part of New Dental Choice?

Are New Dental Choice dentists credentialed?
Yes, we make sure all of dentists are licensed and insured to protect you; that is why all of our New Dental Choice participating dentists undergo stringent credentialing and annual re-credentialing reviews (as compared to the bi-annual industry standard).
Who is eligible for a New Dental Choice plan?
Individuals and families, retirees, associations, the self-employed and even businesses of all sizes who want to provide their employees with access to a quality discount dental plan are eligible. With New Dental Choice there are no age limitations, so join today by filling out the online enrollment form.
How much does it cost to become a member of New Dental Choice?
The membership is $8 a month for individuals ($96 yearly) or $10 a month ($120 yearly) for families; there is a onetime non-refundable activation fee of $10 for the monthly or $25 for the yearly membership payment. To join, simply fill out the online enrollment form or call one of our Plan Specialists.
What forms of payments are accepted?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express, or you can pay for your New Dental Choice membership by mailing an annual check or money order. Monthly payments are only available by credit card.
Who do I make my check payable to & when will my membership start?
Check payments need to be made payable to New Dental Choice and the membership will be processed within 24 business hours of receiving your payment. Your membership is effective as soon as you receive your membership ID cards; within five to seven business days of your membership effective date.
Do the member name and billing name need to be the same?
No, payments can be made on behalf of the member by someone else. We will need the payer's full name, billing address, phone number and relation to the member.
If I make monthly payments when are the payments processed?
The initial monthly membership payment is processed within 24 business hours of receipt. All reoccurring monthly credit card payments are processed on the 1st day of the month. If it falls on a holiday, it will be processed on the next business day thereafter.
What types of procedures are covered by New Dental Choice?
New Dental Choice discounts apply to ALL dental services including cleanings, x-rays, exams, crowns, root canals, orthodontics, dental implants and even cosmetic procedures like teeth whitening. Best of all the savings apply at dental specialty locations, such as Oral Surgeons, Endodontists (Root Canal Specialists), Pedodontists (Dentists who Specialize in young children), and Periodontists (Gum Tissue Specialists). How much can New Dental Choice members save on dental procedures?
The discounts apply to ALL dental services and you will save an average of 25% to 60% off the regular office fee for the procedures you need, anytime you visit our New Dental Choice dentists and specialists. Knowing what you will pay even before visiting the dentist is easy, because you can always view the negotiated fees online. How soon can I begin using my membership?
You can begin using your membership as soon as you receive your membership cards; within 5 to 7 business days. If you provide us with an email address we can send you an email notification as soon as your membership is processed and active.
Can I add more dependents and will there be an additional charge?
You can add more dependents by submitting your request in writing to us by email (members@newdentalchoice.com), fax (858-444-2689), or mail (New Dental Choice PO Box 919029, San Diego CA 92191). We will need the additional eligible dependent(s) first and last name, date of birth, and relation. For a dependent eligibility details click here.
Will you notify me when my membership is due to renew?
We will contact you about your membership renewal with a friendly reminder at least 30 days prior to your membership renewal date.
What if I lose my membership ID cards?
Simply contact us with your current mailing address and we will gladly have another set mailed to you within five to seven business days.
